About Noor Huige
My name is Noor Huige, I am a Dutch artist, I live and work in Amsterdam.
At the age of 10 I started with paintinglessons at the studio of a professional artist. After the art academy in Amsterdam (1998-2002) I attended paintinglessons with Anton Martineau (Amsterdam 1926- Amsterdam 2017). The past 10 years I developed my own signature with a mixed media technique.
My paintings and drawings are diverse and I like to work in different sizes. My paintings are made in a mixed media technique with paper, fabric and prints that are collected from all over the world.
I make drawings with ink on paper, custom made for the old antique frames that I find on antique markets in Brussels and Amsterdam. My work is mostly figurative.
My style has been described as colourful, powerful and with a sense of humour.
My artwork has been sold to companies and artcollectors, it has been auctioned and is presented at art fairs by galleries and art dealers. Since 2014 I also have my own gallery in Amsterdam.
